One Man's Trash
On Sunday I picked up a whole bunch of pieces of scrap wood from the trash at the carpenter's station in our construction site and Manolo looked at me like I was crazy but I had big plans for these small discarded blocks. I sanded them, gave one of the faces a layer of white acrylic and now they're my little canvases.
They might become another man's treasure :-)

That's awesome! Good for you!
conozco esa mirada!
Lovely! When I am walking the beach admiring driftwood I often think oh, what Geninne could do with that!
Lovely! They look like those professional artist blocks I think I have seen at DickBlick. Recycling is ever better! You can keep some of these as mementos of your new house construction process :)
I could scream, which is not unusual when it comes to your talents. I have been following you for a long time. I have two questions which I think your gazillions of readers would love to know.
1) Could you tell us what a typical day is for you, from morning to night when you finally stop, and 2) how you manage to be soooooo prolific as an artist. I have never seen anything quite like it. Do you sleep, LOL?
Hugs, Margie
With your talent, you can make anything look valuable!.

lovely and charming and especially wonderful that you have reused and repurposed. and they surely are a treasure now!
great idea! I used such blocks with glueing first paper and then stamped on ... but this looks so fab natural!
fab!
So cute. I used to draw on pieces of wood too,I love the feel of it. Can't wait to see what you'll do next with these!
With a felt or cork bottom these would make fantastic paper-weights. You continue to amaze me. I check in every day to see what you have done next. Thank you for sharing your talents.
That is a fantastic idea! Just white acrylic paint as base? It turned out beautifully!
I'd buy one! The butterfly block is beautiful.
