The real world

I'm taking a little vacation from
my e-life and immersing myself
in the real world for a while...
I'll be back early September with lots to share!
Thank you so much for your support
and all the lovely comments you leave here.
You brighten my days.

We hung our hammock in the living room,
I plan to spend lots of time there :)

New bird pillow

Hand painted with white fabric paint
& a very fine round brush on linen.
The brand of fabric paint I used is called
Pebeo and you can find it here.
You just need to let it dry and then set it
with a hot iron for a couple of minutes.

Succulent!

Succulent arrangement
I created yesterday after a visit
to a wonderful cactus nursery called "La Unión".
I used an old rusty sowing plate (about 16 inches in diameter)
that I bought at the junk yard
to hold all my newly acquired treasures.
I was inspired by some amazing vessels
by Big Red Sun, a nursery in Austin, TX.
Thanks Toddy!

Happy Birthday Israel!

It was my son Israel's
12th. birthday on Saturday!
We celebrated with close friends &
blueberry muffins with cream cheese frosting.
I downloaded the cute alphabet
for the cupcake decorations from this link.

New linen pillow

I displayed some pretty books
on the ledge in the living room,
inspired by this amazing photo.
And made this linen pillow
for the new sofas yesterday
inspired by one from this book.
I embroidered the birdie pillow
while living in the cabin a year ago.

Living room

We finally got around
to having some comfy cushions made
for our two wooden sofas.
I'm guessing I'll be spending a lot of time
reading, knitting and drinking tea here.
Care to join me?
Hope you've been having
a wonderful weekend.
